Create a portable backup of your AI character setup

Keep a local copy of the editable character fields and a short continuity note. This is a configuration backup, not a backup of the provider’s entire account or model.

What to do

  1. Save separate blocks

    Store identity, backstory, user persona, greeting and current scene in clearly labeled sections.

  2. Record the destination

    Include the service and the date you saved the setup. Note any field limitations or features you rely on.

  3. Export only what you intend

    Use the builder’s local download. Do not include account passwords, billing details or private transcripts.

Adapt it to your character

A starting point you can copy

Backup contents: character facts; user persona; relationship; greeting; latest scene. Keep the original provider’s export separately if it offers one.
