Text, voice and menus: an AI companion language checklist

Start here

Compare the parts of the experience you actually use. Translated menus, conversational text, voice output and speech recognition are separate requirements.

What to do

  1. List your must-have modes

Choose text only, spoken replies, voice input or calls. Do not pay for a voice feature if your priority is text.

  2. Use the same short task

Give each candidate a greeting, a follow-up and a reference to an earlier detail. Record the plan and date.

  3. Record uncertainty

If a capability is undocumented or inaccessible on the free tier, label it unknown. Do not turn missing evidence into a negative score.

Adapt it to your character

A starting point you can copy

Required: French text. Optional: French voice. Must keep the chosen language across a short conversation. Interface translation is a separate preference.

This is an instruction to try. It is not a guaranteed platform control.
