A scene recap should explain where the characters are, what just happened and what remains unresolved. Avoid pasting an entire conversation back into the chat.
What to do

Capture the present situation
Write the setting, the characters present and the last important action in a few lines.

Separate fact from possibility
Label unresolved plans as plans. Otherwise the recap can accidentally establish an event that never occurred.

Resume with one clear action
Add the recap to a supported memory or scenario field, or supply it in a new message. Continue with one concrete scene action.

Scene: a quiet café. Alex and Morgan have ordered drinks. They have not yet discussed their weekend plans. Continue from Morgan asking about Saturday.
